Plains Game hunting with RHS focuses on the classic and traditional walk and stalk hunting with fair chase principles at its core. We use vehicles to traverse the large areas and recover our quarry where possible. Often finding high ground to glass for your desired game animals before plotting your stalk. 

Rhenosterhoek Private Reserve offers the classics from Kudu to Eland, Wildebeest to Red Hartebeest and many more. A large selection of African plains game is available seasonally. Due to the limited hunting done on Rhenosterhoek Private Reserve, the trophy quality is exceptional. We also book a limited number of warthog hunts annually. Four to eight guns can expect to shoot in excess of one hundred warthogs on five-day hunts. These are booked well in advance due to limited quotas.

Further afield we offer more exotic introduced species as well as more colour variants many that have become naturalized on the back of South Africa’s successful Safari and Game industry. Our plains game safaris will take you on an adventure throughout Southern Africa exploring the vast diversity of biomes, from the savanna to the highlands, the grasslands to the desert and the Karoo to the coastal thickets/forests.

A well planned itinerary and visiting other areas during specific times of the year will ensure we at RHS guide you to the best success for these further afield hunting safaris. RHS will plan and book your transfers and/or charters, and accommodations as well as accompany you along the way ,and while hunting, guiding you onto an old warrior, worthy of the hunt.
